We Made It!

Sunday 11/11/07
We made it safely to New Delhi after 25 hours en route. PTL that all of our flights were on time and all 22 bags arrived with us. We had a ¼ ton of donated supplies by very generous people at PCC. Thank you all so much! Prem and Jacob Gideon met us at the airport at 1:30am in the city that never sleeps.
We met Prem and Jacob this morning at their church, The Global Christian Life Center. We were so blessed. The service lasted 2 ½ hours. Pastor Dan would love to have the pulpit for that long. After church we enjoyed lunch at a South Indian restaurant. Dan and Kurt we able to find some terrific bannana splits. Then we toured monuments around New Delhi. We visited Indian Gate (we were met by many people selling various items of questionable worth), the President’s resident and Ghandi’s memorial (The memorial is in the garden where he was assassinated).
We are writing this while having pizza dinner. Pizza never tasted so good.
Dan asked the team for a couple words to describe the trip so far
Unique, Tiring, Obedience, Praise, Chaotic, Geko (Alissa's new friend from her hotel room).
That's all for now, were are going to try to get some much needed rest.

Hi Everyone,
Glad to hear you are all well and safe. It sounds like your adventure is in full swing.
What's up with Alissa and Indian hotels! Last time she got the smelly room above the men's restroom and now she gets a Geko for a room mate!
You are all in my prayers. (Julie, I am trusting that God is giving you His peace so that you can have a wonderful time walking in His will.) Take it all in for the rest of us back here in the states. God bless, Gloria Nelson

Hello PCC India Mission Team,
It is so good to see pictures of you and to know that God has brought you safely there. We heard today about an NFL player who went to India this year and didn't get the "Dehli belly"! Our thoughts went staight to you. May you also not experience anything unpleasant during your visit.
Blessings & prayers,
Neil & Martha Hedtke & family

Greetings from Mpls!
I'm a friend of the Franks as well. Glad to know everyone made it safely along with your bags. (That's a miracle in itself!)

Praying that you will be stretched and that you will see India through the eyes of your heavenly Father! May He grant you peace and compassion for those with whom and to whom you minister.

Blessings!

Hi
This is Gloria's sister. I'm excited to hear how the prayer walking is going. May the Lord direct you in prayer as you walk and seek His power for the situations you encounter. Partnering with you in prayer, Cindy
P.S. Lola Haug is doing very well and says hello.

Hi, Brandon and Alissa, Many people at Solid Rock are praying for you as you see what God is doing in the lives of the children (and others) you are meeting and how you might join Him. Things are fine at home, so keep looking up! Thanks to Cindy, too, for the word about our estranged granddog, Lola. Oh, and we learned to love geckos while in Brazil. We thought they had learned the names we had given them, but maybe there were just so many of them it seemed like they were coming when we called them. Seriously, we know God is growing you in patience and in love in some surprising and wonderful ways. The pictures and reports are much appreciated. Love, Gary and Lucinda Haug

Greetings Ambassadors,
India is so cool. There is never a dull moment with a billion people around, that's for sure.
Hey,Alissa, I learned something new today... You should have been glad to have that little Geko in your room; they eat bugs! Of course, you have to ask yourself why he is hanging out in your room. Is the word on the street that this is a good place to pig out?!
Thanks for the wonderful update and pictures. It was so fun to see the picture of Kurt with our sponsored child, Khushi. I am so jealous! Are these not the most beautiful children in the world?
Know that God is using you and that I am living vicariously through "The Eleven sent from Heaven". (Or is it "The Eleven sent to Heaven"? Isn't it amazing how in the midst of so much poverty it can feel like a little slice of heaven?!)
Be blessed as you are blessing. Hang in there with all the difficult sights, smells, spiritual warfare, and personal sacrifices. It is all more than worth it; I am sure that you already realize this.
Be safe and come back full, Gloria
